I've been patiently waiting for HobbyKing website to re-stock some model RC air plane items that I wanted to buy, finally today that has become a reality! :)

I bought the Turnigy 9XR transmitter, 2 batteries, FrSky TX/RX modules a Glider/Jet with servos, motor. This will be the base model for my integration experiments with an autopilot.

In addition, I've been taking the AutoNavX class in the EDx website. The content of the course is looking very interesting and at the same time challenging. The exercises do require coding python scripts that interact with an aircraft simulator, however, it is claimed by the instructor that the scripts can be loaded in the ARDrone 2 quadcopter. Now I know which will be my next acquisition.

In the meantime I have made a lot of progress on setting the development station as well as start building a collection of code libraries for the foundation of my tests... and the Android application is coming along as well, receiving and transmitting messages over a multicast channel.
