One of my Droid X devices started developing black spots on the screen, initially it didn't bothered me but then they started to expand. In addition the battery one day decided to inflate after I removed the battery cover... It was definitely a time for fixes.
I ordered the screen and battery through Amazon and once I got the pieces I searched for a tutorial on replacing the screen, the following video was quick and easy to follow:

Have you experienced a sudden power loss or some other situation which has closed the Eclipse IDE unexpectedly? Most likely you've then got this error message:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.eclipse.jface.preference.PrefecenceConverter
the next time you tried to launch Eclipse.

After installing Ubuntu one of the first issues I find is the Unity interface, I don't like it for a Laptop / Desktop... perhaps a mobile device will be a good option? Until I have the chance to try it then I'll be able to tell.
In the meantime I've always liked simplicity without loosing beauty, first using Enlightenment, then a very customized form of xfce and finally in the last 2 years Cinnamon.

Once in a while, for those of us that like to play and test new Linux distro releases, update or customize system behaviour, we found ourselves in a situation that the partition table has been modified, some script did not finish or clean up properly and then you end up with a device which you can't access data from.
Lots of stuff!

Recently I bought a 2TB external HDD that I'm planning on using as backup and family media storage (photos, videos, etc). The very first thing I noticed after connecting the drive on the USB port was the fact that the Linux system identified the partition as NTFS/HPFS/extFAT. This might suffice those who plan to move around the external hard drives between different system but for me this is not a concern,

Last Sunday I had the joy to meet two friends from middle school, it was a great pleasure to get to see them and their families. We had fun conversations and many stories to remember. The time went by so fast that we agreed to have a second reunion to compensate.
Looking forward to our next meeting Sheila and Lucio!
